From Minuendo to Noise Smart: A New Name, a Sharper Focus

Noise Smart - personal exposure monitoring

We’re excited to share a big step forward in our journey:

Minuendo’s industrial hearing protection solution is now operating under a new brand name - Noise Smart.

Why the Change?

The name Minuendo has served us well as an audio-innovation company, spanning both consumer and industrial markets. But as our Smart Alert solution gained traction in high-noise industries – from construction and manufacturing to utilities and logistics – it became clear that the industrial market needed a brand all its own.

Noise Smart is that brand.

Noise Smart reflects our core belief; that hearing protection should be human-focused, data-driven, and designed for unpredictable work environments.

What Stays the Same?

  • Smart Alert remains our flagship product, providing real-time, in-ear noise exposure monitoring.
  • The legal entity Minuendo AS remains unchanged.
  • Our commitment to innovation, safety, and supporting safer workplaces continues.

What’s New?

What Noise Smart brings to the table is focus.  Where traditional noise safety systems measure environments, we measure what matters: the personal, real-time noise exposure at the ear, and our mission is to move beyond compliance and towards awareness, ownership, and care.

By rebranding, we’re making it even easier for safety professionals, occupational health leaders, and frontline workers to understand who we are and what we offer.

Noise Smart is more than a new name, it’s a clearer voice for a better way to protect people’s hearing, using technology that’s personal, timely, and smart.

We’re here to help you:

  • Replace assumptions with awareness.
  • Empower workers with live, personal exposure data.
  • Prove compliance and drive a culture of wellbeing.

The Hidden Costs of Workplace Noise Exposure

Workplace noise is often overlooked, yet its hidden costs extend far beyond hearing loss. From reduced productivity and increased errors to safety incidents, stress, and tender losses, unmanaged noise exposure quietly undermines performance and competitiveness. As ESG expectations rise, noise has become a material business risk, signalling gaps in worker protection, governance, and operational control.

Traditional assessments no longer capture the reality of fluctuating noise levels, but real-time monitoring is changing the picture, revealing true exposure and enabling proactive action.

Noise may be invisible, but its impact isn’t. The organisations that act now will lead.
